Ice fishing!
Ice fishing is a traditional Northern activity that has a special al-lure.
You
can go ice fishing on Stein and Lindsay lakes in the réserve faunique
de Portneuf. This activity is reserved to those who spend at least one
night in this wildlife reserve. Note the entry fee to the reserve is not
included in the cost of your accommodations. A heated rest station is
located onsite, and all of the fishing equipment is provided. A Québec
fishing licence is also required.
Take
a vacation with family and friends at the réserve faunique de Portneuf.
Your quiet little retreat—a cottage in the woods near a frozen lake—is
less than an hour northwest of Québec City. Over the course of a few
days, you can do all the fishing, hunting, skiing or tobogganing you
want. But if R&R is what you have in mind, you can unwind, all snug
and cozy, in your comfortable accommodations.
Ice fishing season runs from mid-December to mid-March, depending on ice conditions.

you need to get away to the great outdoors, you can go snowshoeing
along the trails criss-crossing the Bras-du-Nord Valley in Portneuf. You
can spend the night in a deluxe yurt, gazing up at the stars while
lying in your sleeping bag. Our new visitor reception building will open
in January 2011.
Our
cabins, deluxe cottages and yurts let snowshoe lovers get the most out
of the Coopérative Vallée Bras-du-Nord snowshoeing network—that’s over
80 km (48 miles) of trails.
